Mastery

The work we do adds meaning to our life. If we love what we’re doing, we love our life. That’s why it is important to put our energies and focus on what gives us fulfillment and joy. Nothing has been mastered without dedication and focus to the point of sacrifice. As we aim at Mastery, there will be need to give up something to gain something. There will be a give-up story as we look back when we achieve milestones of success. Without giving up something to master another, there will be no success story. Our give-up story and our success story will merge at the peaking point.

So, it will be beneficial for us to determine the work we want to succeed in, giving it our all and be laser-like in our focus, expecting labor pains as we forge forward, it will not be easy giving up activities that preoccupy us to keep us busy. Remember, busyness is not necessarily a picture of success. Continuing the walk along the path of the work we really want despite the pains, we train ourselves to live and love learning. We keep going and apply the learning at work. We will only know how to do things better as we do the daily grind at work. In due time we will reap good harvest and the sacrifice will be worth the rough roads when we started.

It is everybody’s aim to make it in life. It is my hope we all make it. Let us not measure ourselves by the speed at which we attain our goals, instead, let us measure ourselves by the consistency and persistency in treading towards the life we want for ourselves. It is only when we stop do we face failure.

So, let’s keep on building our work, our life. Let’s be a master. Let’s keep moving forward steadily and firmly. Soon we will see the edifice standing and role modelling.
