If we stop for a while to watch the blooms, to touch the petals and to look deeper into what the eyes can see, we will understand, beauty is everywhere. We can find beauty even in the most unexpected places, even in leafless branches that look all dried up and wasting away. Look, how beautiful it is as small birds can stop to rest in these twigs, all theirs to enjoy as they quietly perch upon the leafless stem. Silently they look around, maybe have this small bird-chat with other birds similarly situated. Oh, how wonderful it is to be blessed with this sight. Simple. Pleasing. Heartening.
Beautiful, indeed, is defined by what the heart is full of. If filled with gratitude, the eyes can see so much beauty everywhere. This human heart cannot be deceived by barrenness or desolation, deceptions that lure the good heart to turn to unpleasantness. No, a good heart is a protected heart; protected by thankfulness, abundance and love.
Yes, everything is beautiful in its own time, even at the time of falling leaves as this season paves the way to the sprouting of fresh growths. Even the bare skeleton- looking trees can be called most beautiful for this essential stage is preparation for the emergence of that luxuriant- looking tree.
Finding beauty even in ashes or in dust; once this habit finds its way to our spirit we will feel the freedom from finding faults.
