Still on the first month of the year, here we are musing, thinking, evaluating what has been and what will be- what life was the year prior and how it will be this year.
Many of us are coming up with New Year’s resolution, many believe in it, some don’t. No matter how we stand on this idea, what is essential is we are conscious that something needs to change. For whatever it is worth, the thought of change and planning on making it happen makes for a positive start for the direction of the year.
Needless to say, we need to plan, define our goal but defining is not enough. We state the goal. We state the actions to take to reach that goal.
The key to achievement is not the goal but the action. The destination will not be reached if the action is going to the opposite direction. Hard work is good, but good only for success if done towards the right direction.
It is, therefore, important to sit down and think hard- “What do I want to accomplish this year? What needs to stop and what needs to continue? What needs to be improved? What steps do I take to achieve my goals? What is achievable? What is realistic and doable?”
These are the questions we ask ourselves if we want tangible results. We make specific goals. Exactly what do we want that can be measured, that we can picture in our mind that our senses can detect? To be specific with our actions that we ourselves can monitor, yes, we monitor our progress. That way, we have accountability- to ourselves.

This is for us. Let’s draw it, do it and claim it.
To an action-filled year! To success.
