Often said, “The only thing permanent is change”.
Many will agree that when we speak of change, we speak of movement- from point A to point B, and when point B is reached, point B becomes the new point A, a new beginning, a new starting point.
Shifts. That’s what it is all about. We shift every moment otherwise we’re stuck. Stuckness is staying at the same site on a prolonged time, scuttling aimlessly in circles, moving without progress, without growth. When we stop growing, we start decaying, a downward voyage to the south. It’s no good.
If we want ourselves to be better than we were yesterday, we find ways to move forward towards a destination of growth, creating situations that make our life more peaceful because we achieve our goals. That is being at peace with our movement, accepting the pains along the way, pains that go with growing, knowing clearly well that pain is temporary. When we arrive at a place which we know is a good place, the pain of the journey ebbs away, a fresh new day arises to welcome new beginnings.
Shifts can be uncomfortable. Shifts can disturb our habits that have been part of our daily routine for sometime, we could feel distressed. But if shifting is intentional, intentionally, we move from point A where there’s no peace to point B, a place of peace. then the discomfort of the walk will be worth it.
Do not be afraid of temporary heartache for this too shall pass. Focus on what’s ahead. There growth awaits and joy beckons.
After a storm comes a fresh new day. Grow everyday.
To new beginnings, cheers,
Joji
